Crimson Desert’s double jump isn’t broken, it’s just easy to read wrong
A Reddit thread points to a clearer Spanish tooltip, and the move works when you trigger it right as Kliff is about to touch the ground.
Crimson Desert players who accidentally fire off a glide instead of using a second jump may not be encountering a bug at all. The problem appears to be an English tooltip that makes the timing look stricter than it really is.
The ability sits in Kliff’s Spirit skill tree and says, “Press [Jump] twice in mid-air before landing on the ground to perform an extra jump.” That wording sends players in one direction, but the actual input window is different. A Reddit thread at the game’s subreddit says the Spanish version is clearer: “Right before touching the ground in the air, press [Jump]. Use the ground as support to propel yourself again.”

In practice, the move triggers when you wait until Kliff is nearly touching the ground and then hit jump again. There also seems to be a small amount of leeway before and after contact, which makes the skill much easier to use once you know the timing.
If you’re still sorting out Crimson Desert’s movement quirks, the game’s second-jump path is also covered in our guide to unlocking the ability from the Spirit tree.
It’s a small translation slip, but it can waste a lot of time if you’re reading the tooltip too literally. If this caught you out too, share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how the skill has been working for you.
