Crimson Desert’s Denuvo Bypass Surfaced Nearly Five Months After Launch

The bypass does not remove Denuvo from the PC version, which has continued receiving updates from Pearl Abyss.

Crimson Desert has reportedly received a Denuvo bypass nearly five months after its PC release. The release came from voices38, who also published a bypass for another Denuvo-protected game on the same day.

Pearl Abyss launched Crimson Desert on PC in March 2026. The single-player, third-person open-world action-adventure game had Denuvo added roughly one week before release, making the timing of the bypass especially interesting.

The game has received a steady stream of updates since launch. Those patches have addressed controls, combat, stability, and other parts of the experience. The latest 1.16.02 hotfix, for example, dealt with save-data loading, Radeon graphics issues, Mac performance, and problems affecting Housing Mode.

That update cycle also means an unofficial bypass can become outdated quickly. New patches may change the game’s files or add content that is unavailable in an older build, while Pearl Abyss has said that more work on the single-player campaign is planned.

The bypass does not fully remove Denuvo. It works around the protection while leaving the anti-tamper technology running in the background. Because of that, comparisons between protected and bypassed versions would not provide a clean measure of Denuvo’s performance impact.

No download links or instructions for obtaining the bypass are included here. The report is limited to the DRM development and what it means for the game’s PC build.

Pearl Abyss may keep Denuvo in place while it continues supporting future downloadable content, though the company’s plans for removing the protection have not been confirmed.
