The First Descendant update 1.3.24 tightens UI details and starts a new research event
Nexon's latest patch went live on April 2, 2026 at 00:00 PDT across Steam, Xbox, and PS5, with tooltip changes, camera tweaks, event timing, and a slate of fixes.

The First Descendant received Patch 1.3.24 on April 2, 2026 at 00:00 PDT, bringing UI and camera adjustments, a returning research event, and several bug fixes across Steam, Xbox, and PS5.
The update asked players to reconnect for smoother gameplay after the scheduled maintenance window. It also carried a small but useful set of presentation changes, including clearer module information and a wider camera setup for certain weapon types.
Patch Notes 1.3.24
One of the main changes touched the Ancestors Module tooltip. It now shows the original value of each option, which should make the revised tier criteria easier to check. Nexon also noted that the same original-value display for the Trade Market and Companion App would be applied on April 2, and that items in the Trade Market must be re-registered after that date for the values to appear.
There were also a couple of gameplay-facing tweaks outside the UI. The research acceleration effect for “Void Erosion Purge: Normal Stage 10” increased from 100 seconds to 150 seconds, while the sprint camera for ranged weapons and the default camera for melee weapons both received adjustments. The camera now sits closer to the Descendant, with a wider field of view and the character positioned slightly left of center on screen.
The patch also brought back Accelerate Research Week. During the event, completing Accelerate Research content speeds up ongoing research, and the acceleration effect doubles from Friday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 PDT. The event runs from after the April 2, 2026 patch through April 15, 2026 at 23:59 PDT.
Several fixes rounded out the update. Nexon addressed a color display issue tied to Descendant Modules that affect Incoming Damage Modifier, restored “Void Erosion Challenge Stage 1” to Accelerate Research content, and fixed a case where players could enter “Challenge” difficulty from the Library acquisition source while only “Void Erosion Purge: Normal” was unlocked. The patch also corrected a Zone Map control issue with Hold & Drag, plus a batch of cosmetic bugs involving skin previews, lobby poses, hoverbike animations, paint coverage, and text on the “Dance Night” body skin for Serena.
