Nioh 3 update partially fixes bug that sometimes blocked elixirs in battle

Players discovered that elixirs could occasionally fail during combat in Nioh 3, leaving characters unable to heal at critical moments. Team Ninja acknowledged the problem in its Steam patch notes and listed a partial fix for the issue.

The developer’s notes include the line “Partially fixed an issue that sometimes made it impossible to use elixirs during battle.” The patch also addresses a range of stability problems and a specific deflection crash that the devs say has been fully fixed, and it remedies an issue that prevented switching melee weapons while locked on to a target.

Community discussion about the elixir issue has been active on Reddit, where players shared examples and reported similar occasional problems in previous series entries. Examples include a community thread noting elixir and shortcut glitches and another reporting lost interest after encountering repeated bugs, both linked below.
