World War Z will include a free fourth campaign set in Tokyo

World War Z is the next Focus Home Interactive’s apocalyptic game title coming to the market. With a release slated for April 16, the developers have something else to discover. After receiving overwhelming community feedback, the developers have decided to elevate the story and include a fourth campaign for totally free at launch.

After discovering the location of the first three campaigns, Moscow, Jerusalem, and New York, it is time to go to Tokyo. Yes, the fourth and free campaign will take place in Tokyo. That assumes that World War Z will add four more survivors as playable characters. Even though nothing has been stated of that matter, leading from the first three which include 12 different characters, having a fourth would make them a total of 16.

Knowing that is a four-player co-op video game, it simply has to, unless the story makes a branch of the survivors travel to Tokyo. At launch, players will get the chance to play the first two chapters and jump on the third one shortly after the initial release. That also confirms that the fourth campaign will come at a later stage, but will surely satisfy the gameplay hunger.

The fourth campaign has been announced within an official tweet made on their official Twitter. You can find the tweet below:

World War Z will be available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on April 16th, 2019.
