Dune: Awakening has a new Public Test Client build, Patch 1.2.20.0, and the main thing players will want to poke at is the Base Backup Tool – a way to save an entire base in Hagga Basin and restore it to any Sietch on the same map. It is live on the PC test client for players willing to try it out.
Suppose you like reading patch lists like bedtime stories. In that case, this one brings a tidy handful of changes beyond the backup tool: a new radio station that plays the Dune: Spice Wars soundtrack, ornithopters that can carry vehicles between maps, fixes to Testing Station PvP/PvE flags, and collision handling improvements to cut down on ornithopter griefing. There are also a batch of NPC interaction fixes and general UI and bug fixes. We previously covered the Public Test Client for version 1.2.10.0 and how these PTCs work, which may help if you plan to hop into this build: Dune: Awakening is running a Public Test Client Version 1.2.10.0. Patch Notes – 1.2.20.0
- BASE BACKUP TOOL – We have heard your feedback on being able to take a break from the game without losing your hard-earned progress and bases. As of 1.2.20, we are introducing the Base Backup Tool (name is subject to change), which allows you to fully back up your entire base in Hagga Basin and restore it in the same map, in any Sietch. For more information, see the detailed description below.
- Weve added a new radio station to the communinet, which plays the Dune: Spice Wars soundtrack.
- Transport ornithopters can now travel between maps while carrying a vehicle.
- All Testing Stations are now properly set to either PvP if they are located in the northern part of Deep Desert, or PvE if located in the southern part.
- Improved Ornithopter collision handling to reduce griefing. Ornithopters taking off are no longer slowed down by collisions from harassing Ornithopters above them.
- Fixed an issue that made it possible for players to block interactions with some NPCs.
- Many bug fixes and UI improvements.
