Arc Raiders’ open beta peaks and ends this weekend, release set for October 30

Arc Raiders has been pulling serious weight this weekend, the game’s open beta “server slam” has peaked at about 189,668 concurrent players on Steam. Embark’s extraction shooter is scheduled to launch on Thursday, October 30, and the open beta runs out in less than a day in most regions.

That peak number is wild for a relatively small studio. The game will be a paid release at $40 for the standard edition and $60 for the deluxe edition. If you’ve been following our coverage, you already know this has been building momentum; see our earlier writeups on the ARC Raiders final open beta Server Slam Test set for October 17–19 and the piece that confirms the October 30 release date.

For anyone still in the beta, official regional end times for Sunday, October 19. They’re early in most territories so you should burn your playtime now:

  • West Coast US: 8 am PDT
  • East Coast US: 11 am EDT
  • UK: 4 pm BST
  • Europe: 5 pm CEST
  • Australia: 2 am AEDT (on October 20)
  • New Zealand: 3 am NZST (on October 20)

Arc Raiders is sizing up as a real contender in the extraction space and could build a healthy player base well before rivals arrive. He points out the contrast with Bungie’s Marathon, which has been delayed and could slip into a later quarter, giving Embark a head start with a well hyped paid launch rather than a free-to-play model. And yes, the game produces some hilarious moments. If you want to see the raw concurrent data for yourself, the SteamDB concurrent charts are the place to look. Get in now if you want to test the waters. No access code is required for the open beta, but the clock is ticking.
