Embark Studios and Chernin Plan ARC Raiders and The Finals Film and TV Projects
Several companies competed for the rights before Nexon selected Chernin, while the announcement leaves each game's film or television format unspecified.

Nexon and Chernin Entertainment will develop film and television projects based on ARC Raiders and The Finals. Nexon selected Chernin, the film and television division of The North Road Company, after several production companies competed for the rights. Embark Studios’ creative teams will work closely with Chernin, but the agreement does not specify whether each game will get both formats or whether the franchises will be divided between film and television.
In a statement to Variety, Embark founder and CEO Patrick Söderlund called the partnership “the next big step” in expanding both games into transmedia experiences for their player communities.
ARC Raiders is set in 2180, after the robotic force known as ARC drove humanity underground. Raiders venture back to the surface to gather resources, while the underground society of Speranza provides another part of the game’s world. The Finals takes place in a dystopian 2100, where combat unfolds as a virtual-reality game show. Contestants compete for fans through their performances, tying the arena fights to an in-world pursuit of fame.
ARC Raiders has sold more than 16 million copies, while The Finals has recorded more than 30 million registrations over three years. No release window or project-specific story details have been announced.
