Paradox Interactive confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will include all six clans at launch, turning two previously locked clans into part of the base game while replacing the planned DLC with two story packs scheduled to arrive in 2026 and keeping the October 2025 release window intact.
Players will be able to choose from the following base builds: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, Ventrue, Toreador, and Lasombra. Paradox converted the clans that had been earmarked for paid DLC into free content and swapped those plans for two narrative story packs that will arrive after launch.
Set in Seattle, Bloodlines 2 returns to the World of Darkness and focuses on vampire politics and social maneuvering. Feeding mechanics and social options remain central, while the Masquerade continues to act as a core risk: exposing a character’s nature will carry in‑game consequences.
Early impressions indicate the sequel leans toward linear encounters and action-stealth elements with some RPG systems woven in, rather than the broader, branching role-playing many hoped for. Critics expecting a close match to the first game’s structure have expressed disappointment at the narrower approach.
