Seemingly, a lot of things are about to change when it comes to Fortnite, and they are positively welcome by the whole community. Everyone starting to contribute to the most common sense when it comes to the availability of cross-play and more. Well, that’s about to change and Epic Games will allow players to link their account to other platforms, no matter if PlayStation or Xbox. This includes the newest addition of Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch.
The strict policy that Sony implemented was quite rough for all the fans of the most popular Battle Royale game nowadays, Fortnite. Now, things are about to change, and we’re just a foot of it. On Fortnite’s official Twitter profile, Epic Games has announced that the developers are working on something new, and that is a permission of linking accounts between different platforms, which in terms will allow them to continue with their already existing progress from wherever they log in.
1) An account-merging feature to combine Battle Royale purchases, coming in November.
2) Enabling unlinking a console from one Fortnite account, and relinking to another Fortnite account. Coming in a few days.

The new feature will include all consoles, such as PlayStation, Xbox, and even Nintendo Switch. This will surely allow the players to keep track of their in-game purchases and store their favorite skins in one place. It will also allow players to buy their favorite cosmetics during a holiday, by logging through their Nintendo Switch or whatever is available at that particular moment. Missing a skin while AFK won’t be a feature any longer, and this feature is highly supported by all the fans.
The addition of this feature is considered to be a win-win situation both for the players and developer. Intercepting and reacting appropriately leaves a great impact on both the developers and consumers, which in the long-term translates into a good amount of satisfaction.
