Borderlands 4 won’t be hitting shelves for a few months yet. Still, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has already gone and done something unusual: he revealed the complete game map along with the locations of all 200 Marcus Bobblehead collectibles. Yeah, you read that right, he spoiled a big chunk of the exploration challenge before the game even arrives.

When Borderlands 4 was announced, fans were cautiously optimistic, wondering if it would just be more of the same or something fresh. The new sequel promises a connected open world and some of the most demanding bosses in the series’ history. Plus, it’s looking to justify its price tag with plenty of content.

Pitchford’s latest update came in the form of a lengthy thread on X where he talked about the game’s development process and shared a screenshot of the entire Borderlands 4 map, complete with all the points of interest and the exact spots of every Marcus Bobblehead collectible.

Borderlands 4 Map and Collectibles Revealed Early

On July 13, Pitchford posted twelve messages about the making of the game. He said the team designed a “massive world” and committed to filling it with content, including over 200 Marcus Bobbleheads scattered across the planet Kairos.

These collectibles reward players who look at thoroughly. The map includes locations like Crater, Beach, RIP Tunnels, and Order Hell. But thanks to Pitchford’s screenshot, you literally don’t have to hunt for clues or scour forums, every collectible’s location is laid out in one image.

Here’s a snippet from Pitchford’s thread: “All in all, there are well over 200 Marcus Bobbleheads hidden around Kairos. I expect most players will never see any of them. Some may find a few. A very, very small number of people will look at Kairos so completely that they might discover them all. Each has a story.”

It’s kinda baffling that such a big secret is out in the open so early. Of course, not everyone follows the CEO’s social media, but once this info spreads, it might kill the excite of discovery for many. Still, some players will probably appreciate the shortcut.

This one is on a remote and beautiful peak where someone setup an easel to paint the incredible vista. Virtually impossible to carry the painting back down without damaging it, the art was left here with a Marcus Bobblehead to watch over it until the artist returns. 11/12 pic.twitter.com/k5D3GrHpnm
