Trainers, Niantic is already prepared to release tons of events in Pokemon GO that are supposed to game a bit more engaging for all of you. As per the revealed information, there will be new Research Tasks and Rewards coming your way, which will be a part of the Pokemon World Championship
Event Highlights
- 4x Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include end-of-set rewards.)
- Increased limit on GO Battle League sets, up to 100 battles per day.
- Free battle-themed Timed Research.
- Pokemon encountered via GO Battle League rewards will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP.
- Debut of World Championships 2024 Pikachu–if you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
Get GO Battle League Ready
There will be exclusive Timed Research opportunities available during the event to get you ready for the GO Battle League, where players will be able to complete research tasks to earn a Premium Battle Pass, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon such as Azumarill, Vigoroth, Cresselia, and more!
Also, don’t forget to tune in to the World Championships and watch a champion be crowned!
August Community Day Classic
Niantic is also super stoked to announce that Beldum, the Iron Ball Pokemon, will be featured during the August Community Day Classic!

Crowning a World Champion!
The 2024 Pokémon World Championships will take place from August 16 to 18, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
The top qualifying Pokémon GO players from around the globe will compete to determine who will be crowned the 2024 Pokémon GO World Champion!
Among other prizes, the Pokémon GO World Champion will receive an in-game World Champion 2024 outfit and pose!
