After the leaks and rumors regarding a State of Play event, Sony has officially confirmed that it will happen. Tomorrow, May 30th, at 3 PM Pacific, we’re getting a brand new State of Play, with over 30 minutes packed with updates on 14 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games. And yeah, that includes some juicy first-party titles we’ve been itching to hear about.
As we said before, the leaks have been crazy lately; some were spot on. Rumor has it we’re about to see a new Astro Bot game hitting the PS5 later this year. Not VR, just straight-up PS5. Can you imagine the potential for that? I mean, Astro’s Playroom was a gem, and if they’re building on that, we’re in for a treat.
There’s talk of an update on Concord, that upcoming sci-fi PvP shooter. Sony’s been hinting at a 2024 release, and if we get some solid gameplay tomorrow. Now, I know a lot of you are hyped about third-party titles. Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 9 have been hot topics. Silent Hill has its event on the same day, and Resident Evil’s next installment won’t make a summer debut.
