The beta version of Frostpunk 2 is now live. Fans who purchase the Deluxe Edition can now enjoy the Utopia Builder Preview, which offers a sneak peek into the sandbox mode. The game Frostpunk 2 builds upon the foundation established by its predecessor and explores the social and political implications of society recuperating from the edge. In Frostpunk 2, players control The City’s Steward, who must balance the conflicting demands of various factions and oversee the city’s governance through a governing Council.
Frostpunk 2’s gameplay has progressed to align with the thematic expansion. Players are now tasked with building entire districts over extended periods of time, which involves various factions with unique needs and balancing.
The game will launch on July 25 for PC, and will be available on Game Pass from day one, but also be released later on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, including Xbox Game Pass. Players can expect to jump into expanded gameplay features that include more factions, maps, and colony options.
