Xbox has confirmed that the highly anticipated Diablo 4, developed by Blizzard, will be available on Game Pass starting March 28, marking the debut of Activision Blizzard titles on the subscription service.
This move comes after Microsoft’s acquisition of the renowned developer and publisher behind franchises like Call of Duty and Diablo, finalized in October 2023 for $69 billion, and despite the rapid integration of Bethesda’s games into Game Pass following its purchase, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, previously indicated that including Activision Blizzard’s catalog might take more time.
Now, five months post-acquisition, Diablo 4 is ready to become the first game from Activision Blizzard’s portfolio to grace Game Pass.
The news was shared by Sarah Bond, Xbox’s president, on a podcast update about Xbox’s operations. She expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I’m excited to announce, with the coming together that we had with Activision Blizzard King, that Activision Blizzard games are coming to Game Pass starting with Diablo 4 on March 28, which I’m super, super excited to share today.”
