This cooperative third-person shooter has quickly gained a loyal fanbase and has achieved the title of Sony’s most successful Steam debut to date.
In less than 24 hours since its launch, Helldivers 2 attracted over 57,000 players simultaneously, making it the third-largest launch for Sony on the platform at that time. The game’s popularity continued to soar, with its peak player count reaching 81,840, according to SteamDB. This surpassed God of War’s peak by a notable margin, making it the top launch from PlayStation Studios on PC.
Helldivers 2 has received a Mixed rating on Steam due to technical and connectivity issues. Arrowhead Game Studios is working on a hotfix to resolve these problems.
