Arrowhead Game Studios’ intense third-person shooter, Helldivers 2, has gone gold and is set to release on February 8th for PlayStation 5 and PC. Despite initial confusion during Sony’s CES 2024 press conference suggesting a delay to February 28th, the game is launching on the original date.
As a sequel to the 2015 top-down shooter, Helldivers 2 now utilizes a third-person perspective and significantly improves the graphics. The gameplay remains true to its roots as players journey to alien worlds, spreading the message of intergalactic democracy while facing off against formidable foes like bugs and hostile Automatons. Players must overcome challenges such as towering enemies with solid armor and the potential for friendly fire from their teammates. If you need assistance, send out an SOS, and other players can join the mission to help.
Helldivers 2 will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC, with cross-platform play supported. For PC players, check out the system requirements below, as the game requires a hefty 100 GB of installation space.
