The immersive world of Aeternum is set to evolve once again with the latest update to the popular MMORPG, New World. Titled Legacy of Crassus, this update promises to bring a fresh wave of excitement and challenges to players from January 10 through January 23.
The highlight of the update is the menacing presence of General Crassus and his monstrous captains. As they threaten to engulf the land in Roman tyranny, players are called upon to banish these formidable foes.
Successfully overcoming these challenges offers players the chance to earn unique event-specific, daily rewards. Areas like Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove will become pivotal battlegrounds where players can earn Cyclops Statuette Housing Items, up-leveled Named Gear, and more.

LEGACY OF CRASSUS
The shadow of Roman tyranny creeps ever closer to consuming Aeternum on January 10 through 23. Banish General Crassus’s monstrous captains for new event-specific, daily rewards. Players brave enough to tear down the banners of the Republic in Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove can earn Cyclops Statuette Housing Items, up-leveled Named Gear, and more.

COMBAT
- Increased heavy dodge’s stamina cost from 50 to 55.
- Bow
- Increased Bow base damage in PvE modes by 2.8% and then reduced back down to where it was in PvP to compensate.
- Updated the tooltip of Empowering Explosive Arrow to be more clear that it is removed on the next hit, and not just attack. Also reduced the duration of the Empower from 10s to 5s.
- Musket
- Increased Musket base damage in PvE by 4.8% and then reduced back down to where it was in PvP to compensate.
- Pestilence Artifact
- Reduced outgoing healing reduction from 5% to 2.5% per stack.
- Koya’s Knee Guards
- Increased damage reduction from 10% to 13%.
- Void Gauntlet
- Increased Void Blade’s attack damage:
- Light from 90% to 100% weapon damage
- Heavy from 140% to 150% weapon damage
- Increased Void Blade’s attack damage:
- Fire Staff
- Reduced Flamethrower move speed while active from 3.25m/s to 2.75m/s.
- Empowering Fireball – Reduced max value on weapons from 62% to 58%.
- Hearty
- Fixed an issue that caused Hearty to provide a fraction more stamina than just 10%.

Fixed an issue that caused Deflecting Frailty to not apply the effect to allies.

WORLD EXPERIENCE
- Rolled back a change to Large and Medium Orichalcum spawners that prevented rubble piles from persisting.
- Camps made by raid groups can now be used by anyone, not just players in the group.

NOTABLE FIXES
- Fixed an issue in the Commander Loth boss fight where players could break the encounter by damaging the giant Ice Elemental
- Fixed an issue that prevented Ser Milosh in the Glacial Tarn from dropping loot.
- Fixed an issue that caused Mordred to clip through the environment.
- Fixed an issue in which three quest reward characters spawned as generic NPCs instead of their unique appearances.
- Fixed a rare server crash when converting to a raid.
- Fixed the ‘Cleansing Treasure’ Quest not counting towards the ‘Complete Repeatable Expedition Quests’ Season Journey Task
- Fixed visual bugs on Winter Convergence skins.
