BioWare has recently shared news about their upcoming title, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, and is planning a full reveal in the summer of 2024. This announcement was made during their annual community event, which celebrates the Dragon Age series.
Along with this announcement, a new trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse into the diverse locations featured in Dreadwolf. The trailer is a window into the expansive world of Thedas, showcasing places that players can explore.
In previous Dragon Age games, players were limited to specific regions. Origins focused on Ferelden, a land torn by war and the Darkspawn threat. Dragon Age 2 centered around Kirkwall, a city riddled with corruption and a dark underbelly. Inquisition took players across various parts of Orlais, entangling them in political schemes and battles.
However, Dreadwolf promises to expand this scope significantly. The trailer introduces locations such as the Anderfels, known for its desolate beauty and distant mountains. Antiva, with its twisting canals and gleaming towers where danger lurks in the shadows, and Rivain, characterized by turquoise seas, lush greenery, and a robust seafaring culture. BioWare hints at more locations, including fan favorites and new areas.
