Ubisoft and Xbox expanded their partnership on July 21 by adding premium editions and selected add-on content to a broad range of games on Xbox for PC. The deal also gives owners of select digital Xbox console games access to their PC versions through Ubisoft Connect at no extra cost.
Xbox Wire announced that the expanded catalog includes Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Other additions cover games from the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and Watch Dogs series.
Which Xbox Games Include a Free PC Version?
Players who own the digital Xbox console version of one of the following games can access its PC version through Ubisoft Connect:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs Legion
New digital purchases of these games include both the Xbox console and Xbox on PC versions. Existing owners are receiving the PC versions through a progressive rollout that began July 21 and will continue through August 4.
Players should update Ubisoft Connect to its newest version before checking their libraries.
How DLC and Add-Ons Work
For most supported games, owned editions and DLC transfer to the PC version without another purchase. Consumables, including in-game currency and other one-time-use items, are excluded.
Ubisoft Connect PC shows the edition attached to the account. Each game’s Properties page also provides a breakdown of owned DLC and add-on content.
Cross progression can preserve additional content between the Xbox and PC versions in games that support the feature, but currencies and consumables remain outside this offer. The free entitlement only works from Xbox console to PC, so owning a PC version does not grant a free Xbox console copy.
