World of Warcraft players who raid Manaforge Omega will notice a slight but meaningful change in Patch 11.2. Blizzard has lowered the cap on the raid-exclusive stacking buff linked to Renown, dropping it from 18% to 15%. This tweak might seem small, but in those clutch moments when your raid is scraping by, every percent counts.
What Changed from Patch 11.1?
Originally, the soft buff tied to Renown levels started during the Liberation of Undermine raid and the Gallagio Royalty Rewards Club. Players could stack a +3% damage and healing buff at certain Renown milestones, topping out at +18% in Patch 11.1.
Patch 11.2 keeps the same stacking mechanic but caps the buff at Renown 15, limiting the total boost to +15%. So, a loss of 3% damage and healing in Manaforge Omega.
How the Soft Nerf Works for Manaforge Omega
You increase your Renown by defeating Manaforge Vandals at a rate of 1 per week. The buffs kick in starting Week 4 of the raid, then add another +3% every three weeks:
- Renown 4: +3% damage and healing (Behind Enemy Lines I)
- Renown 7: +6% damage and healing (Behind Enemy Lines II)
- Renown 10: +9% damage and healing (Behind Enemy Lines III)
- Renown 13: +12% damage and healing (Behind Enemy Lines IV)
- Renown 15: +15% damage and healing (Behind Enemy Lines V)
Why This Matters for Raiders
Three percent less damage and healing might not sound like a huge deal on paper, but in practice, it could impact those nail-biting boss fights where every bit of power helps stop wipes at the last second. If your raid team was relying on that extra edge, this change will be felt.
What do you think about this nerf?
