Diablo 4 will let you try the Paladin for free in Season 12

Blizzard confirmed during its Season 12 livestream that players can test the Paladin for free for one week as part of Diablo 4 Season 12. From March 11 to March 18 at 10 a.m. PT, anyone on Battle.net, Xbox, or PlayStation will be able to log in and create a Paladin. The trial opens on all supported platforms so players who have not purchased the Lord of Hatred expansion can still try the new class.

During the event you can level a Paladin up to level 25. The trial lets you test all of the class abilities and rotations, but it will not grant access to endgame activities. Only the Paladin will be available during this trial week. Players interested in the Warlock must wait until April for access to that class.

Blizzard also confirmed that progress made on a trial Paladin will carry over if you later pre-order the Lord of Hatred expansion. That means you can keep the same character and the experience you earned during the trial after purchasing the expansion. The Paladin trial is a short preview meant to show how the class plays before you decide whether to buy Lord of Hatred. For background on the expansion and the systems it brings, you can see the Lord of Hatred expansion article that we have cooked.

If you plan to try the Paladin, remember the event window is limited to one week and it begins at 10 a.m. PT on March 11. Follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram and share your Paladin impressions in the comments. Will you try every build during the week or focus on a single setup?
