World of Warcraft’s Race to World First guilds are intentionally skipping 1 of Mythic Vashnik’s 3 sections, but the strategy is not an exploit. The encounter’s current Mythic empowerment gives them less reason to complete the rotation its design appears to require.
Vashnik is supposed to push raid groups between 3 sections during the fight. Activating 2 sections at the same time should trigger a 200% empowerment, creating the pressure that forces teams to deal with all 3 areas. On Mythic, however, that effect only reaches 100%.
That lower value creates a much simpler approach for RWF teams: stay in 2 sections and leave the third unused. The tactic comes from the encounter’s current behavior rather than an exploit, with guilds responding to the numbers the fight is actually using.
The mechanic is not working as intended, but changing it could create other problems for the encounter. Until Blizzard addresses that tradeoff, Mythic Vashnik’s intended 3-section rotation is something the leading guilds can deliberately avoid.
