World of Tanks is adding a more relaxed way to compete with Onslaught Light, a mode built around 7v7 battles and a 15-stage reward track. Wargaming detailed the mode and its progression rewards in the official Onslaught Light announcement.
The reward path gives players plenty of reasons to keep playing through the stages. Its prizes include 1,200,000 credits, 900 bonds, three pieces of Experimental Equipment, and 1,050 components for upgrading that equipment.
A 15-Stage Reward Track
Players can also earn Personal Reserves during progression. The track includes six one-hour Reserves that grant +200% to Free and Crew XP, along with six one-hour Reserves providing +50% to Combat XP.
There are XP missions in the mix as well, with nine missions offering a ×5 Combat XP bonus and nine more granting a ×3 Crew XP bonus.
Experimental Equipment combines characteristics from two or more equipment types. It cannot be bought or sold, but players can disassemble it for free and receive components in return. Those components can then be used to upgrade or demount the equipment.
New Decals and 2D Styles
Onslaught Light also adds four decals to the reward pool. “Fierce Firefly” and “Artillery Strike” are new additions, while “W for Victory” and “Impossible Decision” round out the decal rewards.
The progression track finishes with two 2D styles: “See the Light” and “Enlightenment.” Both are designed to show off progress earned in the mode, giving players a little extra flair for their tank collections.
With smaller teams and a reward path packed with credits, bonds, equipment, XP bonuses, and customization items, Onslaught Light gives World of Tanks players another reason to queue up for a few matches.
