War Thunder’s Next Major Update Will Add Roundels and Vehicle Decals

New JGSDF and Thai ground markings are in the works, with Greek vehicle decals also planned.

War Thunder’s next major update will add a fresh batch of national roundels and vehicle decals, including new markings for Albania, Luxembourg, Serbia, and Vietnam. Gaijin outlined the upcoming additions in an October 21 Steam announcement.

The roundels cover several gaps in the game’s existing selection. Albania will receive Air Force designs from 1960 to 1992 and from 1992 onward. Other additions include contemporary Irish Air Corps and Indian Air Force roundels, a low-visibility Czech Air Force design, and roundels for Luxembourg Army Aviation, the Serbian Air Force, and People’s Army of Vietnam vehicles.

Ground markings will also expand for Japan. Three Japan Ground Self-Defense Force emblems, for the 2nd Anti-aircraft Company of the 7th Anti-Aircraft Regiment, the 2nd Tank Regiment, and the 15th Rapid Deployment Regiment, will be unlockable in the next major update. Gaijin notes that Japan has received newer ground markings through monthly decal events, but none had been permanently available.

Thailand will get three ground-vehicle emblems for its 19th, 2nd, and 13th Cavalry Battalions. A set of Greek ground-vehicle decals is still in development, and Gaijin expects it to be ready for the update. More additions are also planned for nations and branches with few existing decals, including later-era designs where the current selection largely covers World War II.
