War Thunder’s British Havoc Mk I is available at 30% off through October 29 at 09:00 GMT. The sale began October 26 at 09:00 GMT, and the Rank II aircraft costs 490 Golden Eagles. Gaijin’s Steam announcement places it under Great Britain > Aviation > Premium vehicles and notes that it can only be obtained during the promotion.
The Havoc Mk I carries four 500 lb bombs, four forward-firing machine guns, and two defensive machine guns. Its mix of bombing capacity and onboard guns gives the British aircraft options for attacking ground targets and defending itself in the air.
The discount marks the anniversary of the Douglas A-20 prototype’s first flight on October 26, 1938. Known as the Havoc, the A-20 design formed the basis for light bombers, attack aircraft, reconnaissance planes, and night fighters. A-20s served with the air forces of France, Great Britain, the United States, and the USSR, which received many through Lend-Lease.
