War Thunder‘s 237th Steam Screenshot Competition is now accepting entries for a water-focused theme, with submissions open through August 21, 2026. Gaijin Entertainment announced the event in a Steam announcement.
The Blue Frontiers round asks participants to build their image around a body of water. A qualifying screenshot must show a vehicle alongside or crossing a lake, river, or ocean. Six winners will receive 300 Golden Eagles each after the deadline: three will come from community ratings, while judges will select the other three.
How to enter the Blue Frontiers competition
- Capture a new screenshot in War Thunder that includes both a vehicle and a body of water.
- Upload it to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub through the competition participation page.
- Use
#WTscreen237as the entire screenshot title. No other title text is allowed.
The entry must be the participant’s own work and cannot have appeared in an earlier competition or publication. War Thunder will only accept raw in-game screenshots, so outside editing tools and visual enhancements such as Nvidia Ansel filters are prohibited. Built-in game filters, settings, and the replay feature are allowed.
There is also a limit on popular-vote wins: an artist can win through community voting only once during any four-competition span. Rewards are scheduled for delivery to each winner’s account within 14 working days.
The previous Long Guns winners
The new event follows the 236th competition, which challenged players to capture vehicles with oversized weapons. The six winners were divided between community voting and the judging panel, with each due to receive 300 Golden Eagles. The winning entries were:
- Community vote: Community winner 1
- Community vote: Community winner 2
- Community vote: Community winner 3
- Judges’ selection: Judges’ winner 1
- Judges’ selection: Judges’ winner 2
- Judges’ selection: Judges’ winner 3
