War Thunder is back with its 181st Steam Screenshot Competition, calling on players to freeze moments of stealth and pursuit in the heat of battle. Whether you’re a tank lurking in wait, a fighter lining up a shot, or a ship sneaking behind cover, this contest is all about capturing that tense excitement of the hunt.

The competition runs until July 25th, and six winners will be chosen: three by community vote and three by War Thunder’s judges. Each winner will snag a reward of 300 Golden Eagles (GE). Not bad for a screenshot, right?

To enter, you’ll need to post your screenshot on the War Thunder Steam Community Hub with the tag #WTscreen181. Just remember, the title can’t have any other text. Your shot must show players from opposing teams, be your own work, and be fresh, no reusing old screenshots or those from other contests. Also, no fancy editing software or third-party filters are allowed. You can use War Thunder’s built-in filters and replay features, though.

Here’s a quick summary of the rules:

  • Your screenshot must include players from opposing teams.
  • Use the exact tag #WTscreen181 with no extra text in the title.
  • Artists can only win by popular vote once every four competitions.
  • Screenshots must follow War Thunder’s rules.
  • You must be the author of the screenshot.
  • Screenshots must be new and not previously published or used in other contests.
  • No external editing software or visual enhancements allowed, except War Thunder’s built-in filters and replay functions.
  • Rewards will be delivered to winners within 14 working days.

Curious about last week’s winners? The 180th edition focused on the theme “Cold Front,” and the community and judges picked their favorites. Check out the winning shots here:

Each winner received 300 GE as their prize. Wow, those shots really show the intensity of War Thunder’s battles. Have you ever caught a perfect moment like these? What’s your favorite vehicle to stalk or ambush with? Let me know in the comments below.
