War Thunder received an update from Gaijin Entertainment that reduces research and purchase costs for Bluewater fleet ships. The changes target progression across ranks I-VII and reduce expenses paid in Silver Lions, while carefully avoiding changes to grouped vehicle rules.
The Bluewater fleet naval trees were recently extended to rank VII, and the research system has been updated to make progression faster and more balanced. The developer published an infographic showing the new costs for researching and buying ships at each rank for each nation.

- purchase price in Silver Lions
- crew cost
- Expert crew price
- price of modifications in Silver Lions
- amount of research points needed to research a vessel
- amount of research points needed to unlock modifications

Note that the calculations do not take into account grouped vehicles, since their research and purchase are not required to advance through the Bluewater fleet research trees.
