Used Your Trovehunter’s Bounty Too Early? You Can Still Save the Chest for Tier 8
Players who have not unlocked Tier 8 can leave the reward chest untouched in a lower-tier Delve and open it after completing a Tier 8 run.
Using a Trovehunter’s Bounty before reaching the right Delve tier does not necessarily mean the reward is gone. If the map was used in a lower-tier Delve, the chest at the end can be left unopened so the reward remains available for a later run.
The map comes from the weekly quest and is intended to provide a Hero piece when used on a Tier 7 or higher Delve. Tier 8 is the safer target, especially for players who want to make sure the reward is tied to the higher-tier run. Our Trovehunter’s Bounty guide covers the weekly reward route in more detail.
How to keep the reward chest
If Tier 8 is still locked and the map has already been activated, finish the current Delve as usual. A Tier 4 run works for the reported workaround. When the chest appears at the end, do not loot it. Leave the Delve without opening the chest, then start another run.
The chest should appear again in the next Delve. Players can then complete a Tier 8 or higher run before collecting the reward, rather than opening it immediately after the lower-tier completion. The important part is simple: do not touch the chest until the desired Delve tier is finished.
