Tom Holland and Zendaya have both been spending time with Marvel’s Spider-Man, and their reactions were about as warm as Insomniac could hope for.
During a brief IGN Benelux interview about Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland said, “I love the games — we love the games.” He also called them “absolutely sensational,” while Zendaya said she prefers Story Mode because she gets frustrated when she tries to do everything on her own.
That tracks with the couple’s roles in the Marvel films, where Holland plays Peter Parker and Zendaya plays MJ. It also fits with the wider Spider-Man crossover, since Insomniac’s version of the hero has already appeared in the Spider-Verse animated films with the white spider Advanced Suit.
Insomniac Games then jumped into the conversation with an invitation on X, telling the two actors that they are welcome to stop by the studio in Burbank and see how the games are made. With Brand New Day due at the end of July, it will be interesting to see whether the next film includes another nod to the games.
