Throne and Liberty Sets Oct. 26 Auction House Closure Before NC Handover

Throne and Liberty’s western live service will transfer from Amazon Game Studios to developer NC, which operates through FirstSpark Games. Maintenance for the handover is scheduled to begin Nov. 10, 2026. Once it ends, players can accept NC’s Terms and Policies and continue with their existing characters, items, currency, and progression. The Steam announcement also lays out the steps players should plan for before then.

The Auction House will close on Oct. 26 and remain unavailable until the transition is complete. Items still listed when maintenance begins that day will be sent to the NPC Storage Manager, even if the delivery exceeds the storage limit. Lucent from completed sales that has not yet been paid out will be credited to players’ balances.

Sales of Celebration Packs, Character Boost, and Lucent packs will also pause on Oct. 26. The products will be removed from Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation stores, as well as the in-game Shop, until NC’s service is live. Lucent and items already owned will transfer with account data, and NC will announce when shop purchases resume.

Players who do not want their data transferred must submit the opt-out request before Oct. 30. Opting out means characters, progression, and inventory will not carry over, so anyone who later plays under NC’s service will need to start again. Data will transfer by default if a player takes no action.

Xbox players will need to install a new app published by NC after the transition. The existing app is named “Throne and Liberty AGS,” while the replacement will be called “Throne and Liberty.” The same Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox accounts will remain in use, and cross-play will continue. NC says Steam and its PURPLE platform will support cross-progression, while PlayStation and Xbox progression will remain separate. Existing regions and realms will also continue, with Japan, Oceania renamed Asia, Oceania.
