Throne and Liberty 4.3.0 brings a new 12v12 battle and cheaper gear growth
The July 15 update will add Frostbite Fortress, four Guild Raids, new crafting recipes, weapon balance changes, and a two-week Arkeum Legion event.

Throne and Liberty Update 4.3.0 will enter maintenance at 10:30 p.m. PT (5:30 a.m. UTC) on July 15. The downtime is expected to last about three hours, with the patch adding a new Battlegrounds mode, more endgame activities, gear-growth changes, and a long list of fixes.
The official Steam announcement puts much of the spotlight on Seal Battle: Frostbite Fortress, a 12-versus-12 matchmade mode. Teams must carry relics to the opposing altar and seal them. The first side to complete two seals wins. Matches last 10 minutes, followed by five minutes of overtime if neither team has won.
Frostbite Fortress also introduces two Disruptors. Air Raid can appear when a relic is obtained, while Blitz appears near the center of the Battleground at set intervals after a round begins. New achievements tied to Frostbite Fortress are included as well.
Battlegrounds Season 2 changes the weekly rotation
Regular Season 1 will end with the update, and Regular Season 2 will begin. Conquest will run from Sunday through Tuesday on Giant’s City or Floating Elf Garden. Seal Battle will take over from Wednesday through Saturday on Frostbite Fortress. A rules guide has also been added to the Battlegrounds menu.
The update adds Frostbreath Cave to Dimensional Trials and unlocks four Guild Raids: Ascended Daigon, Ascended Leviathan, Ascended Pakilo Naru, and Ascended Manticus. These raids become available at Guild Level 30. Co-Op Dungeons and Raids will also provide extra rewards when completed with New/Returning characters, including an additional chest after defeating a boss.
Gear growth costs are coming down
Update 4.3.0 reduces the material and Sollant costs tied to Trait and Resonance growth. Trait Unlockstones will cost 100 materials instead of 200, while Heroic Trait Unlockstones will drop from 50 to 25. Trait Enchantment Stones and Trait Resonance Stones will each require three fragments instead of five.
Several Sollant fees are also being reduced. Trait Resonance Stone crafting falls from 100,000 to 20,000 Sollant. Resonance opening and conversion costs are cut in half for normal weapons, normal armor and accessories, and Archboss Weapons. Enhancement costs drop to 60,000 for weapons and 30,000 for armor and accessories.
Materials spent before the update will be refunded through in-game mail within 48 hours where stated in the notes. The patch also expands sources for Trait materials, adds Trait Unlockstone Fragments to Material Transmutation rewards, and allows Elite enemies in Abyss Dungeons to drop Trait Enchantment Stones and Refined Trait Enchantment Stone Chests.
Skill Core-based Archboss weapon crafting is being adjusted. Weapons made with Skill Cores will not receive Potential abilities, and Potential options on existing affected equipment will be removed and refunded. Skill Core acquisition is expanding through Nix Abyss, guild distribution, and new Resin Flower recipes. Rubrix Resin Flowers cost 1.5 times as much as existing Resin Flowers but offer a wider selection of weapon-specific Skill Cores. Marind Resin Flowers cost the same as existing flowers but provide a narrower selection. The resulting Skill Cores are untradeable.

Combat adjustments cover every weapon group
The patch changes skill mechanics tied to damage accumulation and shield stacking, adjusts Heavy Attack and Bonus Damage values, and adds the new Weaken: Shock effect to the Spear. Gauntlets’ Eclipse of Blood also gains extra Bonus Damage and Damage Reduction per skill level.
Greatsword receives a PvE-only restriction on Precision Dash’s charged damage increase. Suppressing Strike’s Heavy Attack Damage bonus at Heroic Level 5 falls from 28% to 14%. Sword and Shield gains changes to Roaring Shackles and Victory Strike, while Dagger adjustments remove stack consumption and Critical Damage increases from the additional uses of Inject Venom.
Crossbow gains a 30% monster damage amplification effect for several barrage skills. Longbow changes make selected damage-over-time effects ignore shields. Spear receives a new Shock-charge system that can stack up to five times and deal 340% + 150 damage at maximum stacks. Orb receives several healing and recovery improvements, and Gauntlets’ One-Inch Punch now deals 80% more damage against monsters at Heroic Level 5.
Quality-of-life changes and the Arkeum event
Material Transmutation gains a level filter and an option to exclude equipment with unlocked Traits. Guild Distribution receives a level threshold option. Character Info will show an equipment level based on the highest obtained levels across weapons, armor, and accessories, while item slots will display maximum levels for equipment with variable item levels.
Players can now open the Inheritance interface directly from an item’s context menu. Detailed Item View works as a toggle, three match-confirmation alert sounds are available in Settings, and new portals provide quick travel to Breezeline Station, Abundance Street, and Hammer Clang Street in Herba Village.
The update also starts Repel the Arkeum Legion Invasion!, a two-week event with preset times. From Monday through Friday, events run at 01:30, 12:30, and 17:30 UTC. Saturday and Sunday add a fourth event at 21:30 UTC. The Perpetual Pendulum package, 10 Perpetual Pendulum weapon skins, and the Event Pass: Sealed Trove will also become available for purchase.
