Nexon has published a July 15 known-issues notice for The First Descendant, covering event tracking problems, mission-map visuals, Void Intercept Battle: Extreme bugs, skill tooltips, crashes, and several older PC-related issues.
New issues reported on July 15
Players who reach 100% Personal Contribution in Assemble Event I may see the event UI stop adding progress when they continue with extra World Co-op Goals. The actual progress is still recorded correctly in World Completion, so this is only a display problem. Nexon plans to fix it in the 1.3.35 Patch.
The notice also lists a map issue that can show two mission icons after a mission is set as a waypoint. In the 2nd Anniversary Token Shop, the Dice item remains visible even though the [2nd Anniversary] BB-On’s Dice Run event has ended. The item cannot be purchased.
Some sub-challenge names under the Descendant Firepower Checkpoint Mission are incorrect. The text problem does not prevent players from completing the missions, and the names are scheduled for correction in version 1.3.35.
Void Intercept Battle: Extreme Frost Walker has two reported issues. Its opening cutscene may fail to play after Frost Walker appears and before the fight begins. Frost Walker may also fail to face the Descendant after using certain skills. The latter issue is scheduled for the 1.3.35 Patch.
Nell’s Restored Heart Transcendent Module is not applying its 60% cooldown reduction to the Gravitic Order skill. Nexon plans to correct the problem in version 1.3.35. Once fixed, Gravitic Order’s cooldown will change from 40 seconds to 16 seconds.
Serena’s skill tooltips are missing an important restriction in languages other than Korean. With the Battlefield Nun Transcendent Module equipped, Law of the Battlefield does not display the phrase “Cannot be obtained by methods other than skill effects.” The same explanation is missing from Holy Fire when the Archangel module is equipped.
Repeatedly opening and closing the Event UI can cause an intermittent crash. Nexon also plans to address an overly bright screen that may appear when players select the Awesome Burger Bundle after entering the Shop in Albion. Both issues are scheduled for the 1.3.35 Patch.
Previous known issues
Crashes continue to affect some PCs with 13th- and 14th-generation Intel CPUs. In some cases, The First Descendant closes during launch with an “Out of video memory” error. Adjusting power limits in the BIOS may partially resolve the problem while Nexon awaits a response from Intel. The notice includes Intel’s official guidance for reference.
Some antivirus software can also terminate the client. For Bitdefender, players can open System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions, then add The First Descendant’s file or folder. Bitdefender’s support FAQ contains the related instructions.
McAfee users can open McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it. The notice also links to McAfee support.
For Easy Anti-Cheat problems, Nexon recommends checking its FAQ for troubleshooting steps. Players who still encounter the issue should contact customer support and provide relevant screenshots through the official website’s Customer Support > FAQ > Contact Us path.
The notice will continue to receive updates as more bugs are found or previously identified problems receive new information. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
