The Finals update 8.5.0 adds Rushdown World Tour event, Halloween items and esports bundles
The Finals Update 8.5.0 is live, and it leans full-tilt into chaos. The patch swaps out HEAVEN OR ELSE for a new World Tour event called Rushdown, drops a Halloween “Boo-tique” of store items, adds Finland and Norway to the country roster, and teases five new esports bundles ahead of DreamHack Stockholm.
Rushdown is silly-fast and wonderfully simple. Smash a downed opponent, and you grab a speed boost that gives you 5 seconds of super speed per boost. It’s pure hit-and-run energy. It shakes up how you close distance and how you flee. Players who loved the old Spears meta will have to find new chaos methods. We discussed earlier changes, such as the Heaven or Else update, and how they impacted the Arena; Rushdown continues to maintain that insane momentum.
The store gets spooky. There’s a new Halloween collection with both returning and fresh pieces so you can look delightfully horrific while you bail from explosions. The update text even leans into puns, so if that’s your vibe the wardrobe options should land nicely. Also, Finland and Norway are now supported nations for player profiles and flags.
On the esports front the devs announced five team bundles that will be available in the shop so fans can rep teams at DreamHack Stockholm on Nov 28-29. The initial list includes:

Team Secret x IVADA
Gen.G x ENO+RINO
FNATIC x VAIIYA
TSM x TRENTILA
