The Finals Update 7.8 Brings Back Risk & Reward with Smarter Stakes

Update 7.8 for The Finals has arrived, bringing back the Risk & Reward World Tour with a twist. Sponsored by VAIIYA, this event changes how cash is earned for eliminations, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the arena.

Contestants will now earn different amounts of cash depending on the Weapon, Gadget, or tactic they use to take down opponents. Whether you prefer surgical precision or a flashy approach, picking the right tool could be the difference between pocket change and a hefty payout. This rebalancing of cash rewards invites players to rethink their Loadouts and try out some sneaky new tactics.

Feeling bold or calculated? Just don’t go in unprepared; the stakes are higher this time around.

Here’s a quick peek at the new store offerings. If you want to stand out while wreaking havoc, there’s a fresh batch of high-contrast, dramatic skins. The Mandatum Nullum and Mandatum Ultimum sets bring a sharp black-and-white style, while the Aviatrix Prime Load offers dual pistols inspired by light and shadow. Rounding out the drop are the Marble Monarch and Marble Mobster sets, both oozing sculpted strength and museum-level menace. Quite the lineup for those who want to look as deadly as they play.

Curious about the Grand Major 2025? Today at 16:00 CEST, the full competitive format will be revealed, including a breakdown video, detailed blog, and the complete rulebook. That’s when things will get really interesting.

Check out the official update trailer below:

And here’s a closer look at the new cosmetics:
