The Finals Update 9.3.0 extends Snowball Blitz and adds Ruby Season 9 rewards

Embark Studios pushed Update 9.3.0 for The Finals on January 1, 2026. It’s a light patch focused on keeping the holiday mode alive for players and rolling out the Season 9 Ruby rewards that only the very best can earn. The Snowball Blitz limited-time mode will continue for one more week. The studio says a slightly larger update is coming next week, but for now contestants get another rota of snowballs and mayhem on the winter maps.

The patch also introduces Ruby rewards for Season 9. Only the top 500 players will qualify for these items, and placement is decided by the podium on the final day of the season rather than cumulative ranks. The Ruby reward bundle includes a player card background, emblem, badge, charm, sticker, and a Ruby coin that can be exchanged for a ruby weapon skin of the player’s choice. You can check the Season 9 leaderboards on Embark’s site at id.embark.games/the-finals/leaderboards/s9.

There’s also a small store refresh titled Winter Vicious, keeping snowy cosmetics available even after the holidays. For a look at the bigger Season 9 changes that arrived in December, see our coverage of the season launch and its new progression systems and arenas.
