A brief shot in Blizzard’s Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight video includes a quick look at Temis, the major city that will serve as the hub for Skovos in the Lord of Hatred expansion.
That was also shared on Reddit and the previewed map places all four artisans, the Purveyor, the Horadric Cube, the Pit or Tower entry, and Echoing Hatred in a compact arrangement around the waypoint. The Tree of Whispers crow also appears nearby, which shortens the walk for small but frequent actions.

Design aimed at less friction
The official screenshot suggests Temis is laid out intentionally for the endgame loop. Vendors and services cluster so players can salvage, craft, temper, and reroll gear with minimal travel between stops. The waypoint’s proximity to nearly every major vendor is the detail many players pointed out in discussion.
That approach differs from the original city designs, which favored spread out NPCs and a more lived in feel that worked well for the campaign. Endgame play shifted priorities. After launch, Blizzard already moved some vendors to reduce backtracking. Temis looks like a further step toward a hub built around seasonal farming and fast vendor runs.
Some players will still prefer a more immersive city where NPCs are spaced out to encourage exploration. For the seasonal crowd who repeatedly run the same loops, a compact town saves minutes every session and reduces tedium during long play runs.
Style and Pit access
Visually, Temis leans into a Mediterranean or Greek inspired look. Brighter stone and more open space contrast with Diablo’s darker zones so far. The change is noticeable in the clips and screenshots released to date and may stand out against the franchise’s traditional gritty tone. Questions remain about Pit access. Blizzard has not announced removing the Pit from Cerrigar, so Temis may provide an additional entry point rather than a replacement. The studio has not released full details, but because the layout appears in Blizzard’s preview footage, players can reasonably expect this hub to be the central Skovos waypoint when Lord of Hatred launches.
If Temis ships with a tight center that naturally guides players from vendor to vendor, it could be one of the expansion’s most appreciated quality of life changes. The compact layout in the preview also suggests Blizzard is continuing to refine how towns support endgame routines. Do you think Temis’s condensed layout will cut time off seasonal runs?
