SWTOR’s Best Dressed Contest Offers 4 Stronghold Decorations Based on Winning Outfits

Players can submit one male character and one female character through October 11, 2026, with no paid subscription required.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is giving its fashion-minded players a chance to turn character customization into a Stronghold display. Broadsword’s Best Dressed Contest is accepting entries through October 11, 2026, and four winning submissions will inspire two male and two female NPC decorations, as detailed in the Steam announcement.

Each winner will also receive a holoversion of the corresponding decoration. The regular NPC decorations will be available to all players through the Anniversary vendor when the 2026 Anniversary Event launches.

How to enter the SWTOR outfit contest

The contest period began on September 17 and ends on October 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Players can send PNG or JPEG files to [email protected], with one male character and one female character allowed for a total of two submissions. Both entries can be included in the same email.

Every screenshot must show the character from head to toe at a minimum resolution of 1920×1080. The character’s name must be visible in the user interface, each gear piece needs to be clear, and the image should use good lighting. Alderaan, Tatooine, Manaan, and Onderon are given as examples of locations with bright outdoor lighting.

Characters must wear at least five pieces from the eligible gear slots, including headgear, chestpiece, bracers, hands or gloves, belt, legs or pants, and boots or shoes.
Weapons cannot appear in the screenshot.
No more than two pieces may come from the same gear set.
External editing, including filters, is not allowed.

The email must use a clear contest subject line and include the account name, a screenshot of the character sliders, the name of an existing character on the account, and that character’s server. Entrants must also list every item worn by the submitted character, including any dyes.

How the 4 winners will be chosen

Broadsword and qualified Lucasfilm employees or agents will judge eligible entries after the contest closes. The judging criteria assign 50% to originality, 30% to how pleasing the image is to look at, and 20% to complexity.

The four selected entries will produce two male NPC Stronghold Decorations and two female NPC Stronghold Decorations. All players will be able to obtain those decorations from the Anniversary vendor, while the winners receive the matching holoversions through in-game mail when the 2026 Anniversary Event launches.

Eligibility requirements

Entrants must be at least 18 years old and legal residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada excluding Quebec, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, or the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The SWTOR account must have been created by September 1, 2026. Accounts must remain in clean standing in the game and on the forums, with no in-game suspension since September 1, 2025, and no forum suspension since July 1, 2026. Character names must also follow the SWTOR Rules of Conduct. Broadsword will announce the winners through SWTOR News.
