Stewie2K and autimatic reunite with Brehze and CeRq for another NA CS2 run

Fang completes the 5-player lineup, with Joshua "steel" Nissan listed as coach and the team sitting at No. 161 in the Valve world ranking.

A familiar North American Counter-Strike core is taking another shot together, with Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze and CeRq appearing on a Without a Roof lineup alongside Fang. It is a reunion packed with recognizable names, although the team still has to prove that the chemistry can match the nostalgia.

What do you guys think about this team? Is the old NA CS elite back for one last dance?

A veteran-heavy lineup with a lot to prove

Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze and CeRq all had strong moments during North American Counter-Strike’s better years. Fang gives the roster its fifth player, while Joshua “steel” Nissan is listed as the coach.

Roles will be the first practical test. The lineup does not identify an in-game leader or show how its calling and rifling duties are divided, so the names alone will not solve the usual problems that come with assembling experienced players under one banner. A clear system could give the group a chance to make noise, but that will have to show up in official matches rather than in the roster announcement.

Without a Roof is shown under the United States and at No. 161 in the Valve world ranking beta. The listing also gives the core 15 weeks in the top 50 and an average player age of 27.6, numbers that put some distance between this project and the level these players reached at their peaks.

Whether Without a Roof becomes more than a nostalgia run will depend on how the five fit once they face competition. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.

Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Valve. Released in September 2023, it is the fifth main entry in the Counter-Strike series and serves as a direct replacement for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam. Two teams, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, compete in objective-based rounds across modes such as bomb defusal and hostage rescue. Built on the Source 2 engine, the game introduced volumetric smoke physics, revised weapon handling, and a new sub-tick server architecture. It inherited all cosmetic items from its predecessor and features both a map-specific Competitive mode and a numerically ranked Premier mode.
