Steel Seed, the upcoming stealth-action adventure from ESDigital Games and Storm in a Teacup, has officially been delayed to April 22nd. Initially set for an April 10th release, this minor delay aims to provide developers additional time to optimize the game. The official PC system requirements have also been announced, as detailed below.
According to ESDigital Games, these extra weeks will allow developers to fine-tune game optimization. Ilia Svanidze, Head of Marketing at ESDigital Games, stated:
“Since the game’s announcement, your excitement has been truly motivating, and we know how much you’ve been looking forward to a exploration into a dark sci-fi future on all platforms. That’s why we want to be completely open with you: We encountered some technical hurdles related to platform adaptation when running our platform certification tests. Rather than rushing the console release and risking a potentially substandard console user experience that requires swift patching, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to delay the launch.
Our goal is to make sure that all players, regardless of platform, enjoy a polished and seamless experience. We are committed to delivering the best possible experience for our players. This additional time will allow us to optimise and polish all versions for launch so they meet the standard we know you deserve.”
The game will use Unreal Engine 5 technology. Here are the required specifications for PC gamers wanting to run Steel Seed.
