STALCRAFT: X is trimming the hassle around Modules
EXBO said Quasi-Destructors will only be needed to unbind a removed Module for auction, while normal removal will be free in safe zones.

STALCRAFT: X is getting a cleaner way to handle Modules. EXBO said it is reworking the system after player feedback pointed to two pain points: the hassle of using Modules and the high barrier to entry.
The biggest change is for Quasi-Destructors. Instead of being a general removal tool, they will only be needed when a removed Module is being unbound before it goes on the auction. Ordinary removal will no longer burn one of those items.
That also means Modules will come off weapons in safe zones the same way attachments do, which should make swapping builds far less punishing. EXBO did not give a release date yet, saying the exact timing will come later.
Patch Notes
The update narrows Quasi-Destructor use to one auction-related job and removes it from standard module removal. Players who swap gear often will feel that change the most.
New Purpose for Quasi-Destructors
Now, this item is only required to unbind a removed Module before listing it on the auction.
Free Removal
Modules can now be removed from weapons just as easily as attachments — but only in safe zones. Quasi-Destructors are no longer required for this.
