STALCRAFT: X is letting players into the Assault on the Reichstag test server
EXBO said access is random for eligible players, while Steam users need an in-game invitation before opting into the beta.
STALCRAFT: X has opened its Open Test Server, or OTS, for Assault on the Reichstag. EXBO described the test as an early build meant to collect feedback, catch bugs, and shake out balance issues before the event reaches its final release.
The setup comes with a few hard limits. Gear from the live server does not carry over, the main server is not synchronized with OTS, and progress made on the test server stays there. EXBO also said the server may be stopped or restarted at any time while changes are applied.
Access is being granted randomly to all players except newcomers. If a launcher user is selected, a separate download for STALCRAFT OTS appears in the client. Steam players need to check in-game mail for a message titled OTS invitation from System, sent to their most recently active character. Without that message, the test build is not available.
EXBO said OTS is available in the RU and EU regions, with Steam login still supported. The studio also advised players who normally use Steam to try the EXBO Launcher instead, since the beta can be visible to everyone on Steam even if they were not picked for testing. Once inside, players can log in with any character, press ESC, open the Assault on the Reichstag tab, and select Join Game.
Bug reports can be sent through EXBO Support, and the studio also linked a help-center guide at this instructions page. EXBO said it wants feedback on how the event feels to play, how the pacing works, and whether the balance holds up.
