Spirit claimed the final playoff berth at ESL Pro League Season 24 by beating M80 2-0 in Counter-Strike 2. The series ended 13-6 on Dust2 and 13-10 on Cache, sending Spirit through to the Spodek playoffs after two earlier qualification losses to MOUZ and 1win. The other two remaining playoff places were contested on the same final day, in the FURIA–9z matchup and the PARIVISION–NAVI decider.
Spirit controlled most of Dust2 despite M80 taking the opening pistol round on a quad-kill from Josh “JBa” Barutt. M80 struggled to build a run until converting its second pistol, and Spirit soon closed the map. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia, and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov all contributed to the win.
M80 made its Cache pick far more competitive, building an 8-4 lead by halftime. The gap might have been wider if Boris “magixx” Vorobiev had not won a 1v4 ace clutch, followed just two rounds later by a 1v3 from sh1ro.
M80 kept finding opening duels after the side switch and reached bombsites early, but Spirit repeatedly won the retakes and late rounds. A 7-1 stretch swung the lead to Spirit. M80 eventually took another round, only for Spirit to answer and finish the map 13-10, with donk, magixx, and sh1ro helping steady the comeback.
