skate. will test Block Parties again on August 14 with more fixes in progress

The second test will run from Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. PT through Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. PT, while X Games San Van remains open to all players through Aug. 25.

skate. will bring back the Meetups: Block Parties test for a second weekend from Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. PT through Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. PT. Full Circle shared the timing, test changes, and current issue list in its Aug. 11 Weekly Grind announcement.

The first test produced player comments and bug reports that Full Circle said were sent to the team. Anyone who missed that run can join the next one, while returning players can add feedback through the Block Parties feedback thread and report problems in the Block Parties bug megathread.

Block Parties gets a second weekend test

Two locations will be removed before the Aug. 14 session. The pool at Presidium Residences in Hedgemont is being taken out because of Busy Spots, while The Promenade in Market Mile is being removed because of Gap Distance detection problems. Generic Gap Distance challenges will still be unresolved for this weekend.

Full Circle is working on broader changes for the mode’s full release, including fixes for actions starting during the Get Ready phase, fewer score-based challenges, better Ollie detection, clearer challenge descriptions, and a trick-helper. The team is also considering changes to score multipliers to support fairer competition. Tix earned through Block Parties are bonus Tix and were not included in the tuning for skate.Pass completion.

The Aug. 14 session follows Full Circle’s first Block Parties test earlier this month, giving the team another weekend of player feedback before the mode reaches its full release.

X Games San Van remains open

X Games San Van is now in Week 4 and will run through Aug. 25. The Stadium remains in Open Access, so players do not need Rip Chips or a skate.Premium Pass to enter. Full Circle also pointed players toward the X Games San Van mid-season blog for more event information.

The team is reviewing submissions from the X Games video contest and plans to contact finalists in the coming days or week.

The Deck Design contest winners have also been finalized. Their designs will arrive sometime during Season 5 and will be free for everyone: Charly T.’s “Stay Focused”, beanthedesigner’s “San Van Sardines”, and Veronica’s “Look out! Grombies!”

More dates on the skate. calendar

The Weekly Grind and new Weekly Tasks returned on Aug. 11. The calendar also includes X Games San Van Week 4, a Progression Update titled More Ways to Play, Progress, and Earn, and the second Block Parties test beginning Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. PT.

Looking further ahead, Full Circle plans to share Road to Season 5 details over the next few weeks and is preparing The Weekly Grind Interviews. The team asked players what interview topics they would like to see, including gameplay, tricks, and world design. Players can continue sending bugs and issues through EA’s skate. bug-report hub.

  • Fixed an issue where you could end up without the option to invite or join a Party or add a friend when searching for a player with a Skater Code.

Known Issues Still Being Investigated:

  • Some Players are unable to export in MP4 Format.
    • Workaround PC ONLY: Using WebM format when exporting works.
  • Pinned tasks do not remain pinned when the game reconnects after inactivity.
  • Changing the graphics preset doesn’t update the settings shown at the bottom of the Graphics screen as it should.
  • The option to select between 16:9 centered HUD and full-width and height UI is present but non-functional while in Windowed mode.
  • Daily and Mastery Task sections sometimes display a blank screen.
  • Quick Drop radial menu resets temporarily after joining the server.
  • AMD driver 26.6.1 is causing skate. to crash.
    • Workaround: Roll back your drivers to 26.5.2 and restart skate. (We’ve had reports that the latest AMD driver is also stable.)
  • Tailslides and Noseslides are not correctly detected when approaching a ledge from its end.
  • Friends list sometimes displays multiple entries of the same friend or none at all.
  • Wallride detection often causes skater to flip unnaturally.
  • Smith to Tailslide task often fails to register when done correctly.
  • The wrong item spawns when you use the Quick Drop menu to place something.
  • X-Games Intro Video, Mission, Tasks and Challenges are missing on first login after the 0.31.5 update.
  • Pinned tasks cycle when performing gestures.
  • Players cannot find non-friend accounts using Skater codes.
  • Quick Ollie/Nollie into No-Foot Grab causes leg clipping with board.
  • Performing footplants causes extra one-foot grabs to appear in trick scoring.
  • Replay Editor displays other players’ flip trick animations differently.
  • Your Skater’s upper body snaps upright immediately after landing.
