skate. Season 5 Will Let Players Progress Without Daily Challenge Pressure

Season 5 and update 0.32.0 are scheduled for September 8, bringing Bounties, weekly Spotlight Challenges, and broader progression paths.

skate. Season 5 is scheduled to arrive on September 8 alongside update 0.32.0. Full Circle detailed the upcoming progression changes in a Steam developer update, while also giving players two extra weeks with the X Games San Van and X Games Stadium content.

The new season will focus on letting players advance through San Vansterdam at their own pace. Tasks will become Bounties, challenges will remain available after being unlocked, and more than one progression route will be available from the beginning.

Bounties will reshape Neighborhood progression

Regular Tasks are being replaced by Bounties, with two new types joining the system. Endless Bounties will provide fresh objectives after players finish their regular goals. Anyone who does not want to complete the current objective can spend Rip Chips to reroll it.

Crew Bounties will offer permanent, escalating series tied to the DaKs, SVLocs, and DLC crews. They begin with easier objectives and become tougher across each page, with exclusive crew-themed gear available as players advance.

Every Bounty other than a Crew Bounty will contribute to the Neighborhood that players choose to represent. Leveling one Neighborhood will unlock the next, allowing each skating session to advance both Neighborhood progression and the skate.Pass.

Challenges will no longer demand a daily schedule

Daily challenge rotation is going away. After a challenge is unlocked through Neighborhood progression, Missions, or Crew Bounties, it will remain available until the player completes it.

Season 5 will reset all Challenges when it begins, creating a fresh chance to earn rewards and crew progression. After that reset, progress will not disappear during daily rollover, which should cut down on repeating the same objectives every day.

Spotlight Challenges will add a weekly focus without forcing players to rush. These featured objectives will include bonus goals and extra Tix for completing them.

More ways to earn rewards

Full Circle is also adjusting the balance between regular play and one-time rewards. Most players will earn Neighborhood Rep more consistently during normal sessions, while rewards from Crew progression, Missions, and completed Challenges will be increased. Rip Chip rewards will focus more on progression milestones, exploration, and long-term goals instead of repeated grinding.

Players will have several routes forward immediately through Missions, Bounties, and Challenges. Mission progression will be divided into multiple chains and side missions rather than one long line, giving players more freedom in how they move through the season.

Late-game players will continue earning rewards through the skate.Pass and seasonal content, while Bounties, Spotlight Challenges, and other activities provide additional goals. Reaching max rank will not end progression either: Crew Bounties and reset Challenges will still offer more rewards, and previously earned or unlocked progress will remain intact.

Season 5 will give players more room to choose between short sessions and longer daily grinds without leaving either group with nothing to work toward. What do you think of the new progression plan?
