Silent Hill: Townfall’s 19-Minute Gameplay Video Leads Simon Into St. Amelia

Konami's five-chapter footage follows Simon from CRTV clues and his first monster encounter to Zoe's house, the Otherworld, and a tenement building ahead of the game's September 24, 2026 release.

Konami has published a 19-minute gameplay video for Silent Hill: Townfall, giving viewers a closer look at the PS5 survival horror game’s opening and Simon’s first steps into the fog-covered Scottish town of St. Amelia.

The footage is divided into five chapters and introduces the strange CRTV device, which becomes part of Simon’s journey through the abandoned town. In the St. Amelia section, he uses it to work out where to go next and, during his first monster encounter, tracks the creature’s position while hiding behind a wall. Exploration sections fill out the presentation before the video turns its attention to combat, offering a clearer look at how the game’s early encounters will unfold. Later chapters show Simon using a pistol against enemies before moving through a tenement building.

Simon’s arrival in St. Amelia forms the backbone of the video. The opening sequence sets up his trip into the town after he receives a message from Zoe, a nurse he has never met, asking him to return to the island. Simon eventually reaches Zoe’s house, despite not recognizing St. Amelia. The fictional fishing village is inspired by a real village in Fife, Scotland, where the thick fog and empty streets create an appropriately uneasy first impression. Silent Hill: Townfall is being developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn, and the presentation follows Simon deeper into the setting as he begins piecing together what is happening around him.

Near the end, the town undergoes a dramatic transformation as the Otherworld appears. It is only a brief tease, but it gives the video a final jolt of nightmare fuel after the slower exploration and combat footage.

Silent Hill: Townfall is scheduled to release on September 24, 2026, for PS5 and PC.

Some of these scenes may be familiar to anyone who followed last month’s Silent Hill: Townfall PS5 preview coverage, since the presentation appears to use the same or very similar b-roll. Even so, the 19-minute format brings the opening sequence, CRTV, exploration, combat, and Otherworld into one continuous look at the game.
