S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s 2.1 Update Is Scheduled for Next Week With A-Life Changes
The Zone Lookout will also add fast travel with squad leaders and adjustments to combat and ballistics.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 2.1 is scheduled to arrive on all applicable platforms next week. Its main announced change increases the distance at which A-Life NPCs can be seen. Update 2.0 had already moved the game to Unreal Engine 5.5.4 and delivered more than 500 fixes alongside Cost of Hope on August 20, as detailed in the Update 2.0 breakdown.
PlayStation Asia’s graphic names the update The Zone Lookout and also lists combat and ballistics adjustments, fast travel with squad leaders, and bug fixes and improvements. The graphic appeared online ahead of the planned global release, so the update remains upcoming.
Update 2.0 expanded A-Life interactions and behavior when it launched alongside Cost of Hope on August 20, 2026. The new visibility-range increase focuses on how far away NPC activity can be seen, adding a targeted change to that broader overhaul.
