S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is marking the reception of its first story expansion with a new accolades trailer. GSC Game World shared the video in a Steam announcement published more than a month after Cost of Hope launched. Cost of Hope launched on August 20, 2026, alongside the free Back to the Zone Update 2.0, which added more than 500 fixes, new weapons, binoculars, A-Life changes, and other updates to the base game.

The trailer serves as a reminder that players can enter the expansion and the free Back to the Zone Update 2.0 now. Cost of Hope arrived on Aug. 20, 2026, alongside the large update, which added new systems, weapons, locations, visual changes, and more than 500 fixes to the base game.

GSC Game World also says Cost of Hope is available at a discount. The announcement does not specify the discount amount or how long the offer will last, so players will need to check the current store listing for the final price.
