Rise Is Told to Keep Typhoon at Arm’s Length in STALCRAFT: X

Chatskiy urges Rise members to stay neutral toward the foreign SSPP unit until its intentions in the Zone become clearer.

Chatskiy has delivered a warning to Rise as Typhoon’s presence in the Zone creates another source of tension for the faction. In the official Steam announcement, Rise members are told to avoid direct conflict with the foreign SSPP unit for now.

Chatskiy describes Typhoon as heavily equipped and well-trained, while also making it clear that the group is unlike the SSPP forces Rise is accustomed to facing. The instruction is simple: do not engage Typhoon unless the situation leaves Rise with no other choice.

That position does not mean Rise will surrender ground. Chatskiy says the faction should remain cautious and neutral, but it will respond if Typhoon attacks first. For now, the two groups are neither allies nor open enemies.

The address also draws a line between Rise and Frontier. Rather than rushing into a fight, Rise will study Typhoon’s actions and wait for a precise moment to act. Chatskiy acknowledges that the uncertainty is uncomfortable, especially because Typhoon represents the forces Rise has opposed, but patience remains the faction’s current answer.

Typhoon’s arrival has already begun affecting the Zone’s factions, and Rise’s response suggests that its next move will depend on what the unit does in the field. Whether the uneasy neutrality holds may come down to Typhoon’s next contract or confrontation.
